Fall 2010 Clothes-Minded Movie Update
The Clothes-Minded Movie project is now 4 years old! It’s been a long road so I’m writing a quick update for everyone involved. In case you forgot why this film is so important (hey – it’s happened to me before), please read Why Is Clothes-Minded Movie So Important?
Clothes-Minded Movie is now expected to be completed in June 2011. 75% of filming is complete and much of the post-production is also complete. There is a final big event that will be part of the movie in April 2011 and this is the reason for much of the delay in completion. What is 1 more year to make sure the film is truly awesome? Here is what is happening now:
- Additional interviews and B-Roll is being shot with the help of Christine Giordano & David Gardner
- Animation and Editing continues to enhance the movie with the help of Nate Bayless & Kevin Bertolini
- Songs and original soundtrack compositions are being added from Davey Hertier & Stefan Schwartz
- Works-In-Progress clips from the movie have been screened in Houston, Dallas, and Kansas City. New screenings are being added and with the help of Christine Giordano.
- The final event in the film is actively being funded and planned with the help of Robbe White & Steve Vickers.
To everyone that has been a part of this mission, THANK YOU! You rock

As the filmmaker of Clothes-Minded Movie, I have very deliberately chosen to make a non-fiction film because I have prioritized doing good with this movie – so here are 3 reasons why Clothes-Minded Movie is important to follow, watch, and share: Continue reading

Clothes-Minded Movie: What is it?
Clothes-Minded is a makeumentary form of a documentary about the connection between issues of body image and the epidemic of materialism in advertising-fueled modern culture. The film explores this relationship and seeks to find and enact solutions to the problems it reveals.
The documentary is an adventure-doc that explores a problem and documents the filmmaker and others actively working to create solutions to the problem. Interviews accompany live action shoots, activism scenes, undercover footage, and stylistic montages that symbolically represent themes in “Clothes-Minded”.
